COL BKB: Kansas 77, Colorado 62

BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Wayne Simien had 21 points and 14 rebounds and Keith Langford scored 18 points as No. 14 Kansas opened Big 12 play with a 77-62 win over Colorado.

Simien led Kansas (9-2) to its 13th straight conference-opening win.

J.R Giddens added 15 points and Aaron Miles chipped in 12 and six assists for the Jayhawks, who got just 11 points from their bench.

Blair Wilson led Colorado (6-4) with 19 points and Michel Morandais had 14. The Buffaloes were done in by 31 percent shooting in the first half and trailed, 37-29, at the break.
