NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Daunte Culpepper of Minnesota and Steve McNair of Tennessee have been named the starting quarterbacks for the 2004 Pro Bowl.

McNair, who is leading the Titans in the AFC playoffs, is having his best year among many in the NFL despite missing two of the final three regular season contests. He threw for 3,215 yards and 24 touchdowns with only seven interceptions.

Culpepper, whose Vikings were eliminated from the playoff picture after a season-ending, last-play loss to Arizona, passed for 3,479 yards with 25 touchdowns and 11 picks. He also had 422 rushing yards.

Among other starters are Baltimore running back Jamal Lewis, who led the NFL in rushing, and his teammates, linebackers Ray Lewis and Peter Boulware, and Indianapolis wide receiver Marvin Harris for the AFC. Their NFC counterparts include Green Bay running back Ahman Green, Culpepper's favorite target, wide receiver Randy Moss, and linebackers Lavar Arrington of Washington, Derrick Brooks of Tampa Bay, and Brian Urlacher of Chicago.

The game will played on Feb. 8 at Honolulu.
