CHICAGO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Todd Bertuzzi scored on the power play with 28 seconds left in overtime Wednesday night as Vancouver pulled out its fourth straight win, 4-3 over Chicago.
The Canucks squandered a two-goal lead before grabbing the victory.
Only one team has gone to overtime more frequently than Vancouver, which improved to 7-2-6 in games decided after regulation.
Just 18 seconds after Blackhawks defenseman Burke Henry was penalized for holding, Bertuzzi was stationed at the top of the crease and corraled a loose puck on the backhand.
He shifted to his forehand and wristed a shot past goaltender Michael Leighton for his 11th goal of the season.
The game-winner was Bertuzzi's first overtime tally this season. Linemate Markus Naslund has three.
Artem Chubarov, Henrik Sedin and defenseman Brent Sopel had the other goals for the Canucks, who are unbeaten in 10 of their last 12 games.
