EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Rhys Lloyd kicked a 42-yard field goal with 23 seconds remaining Wednesday to give 20th-ranked Minnesota a 31-30 win over Oregon in the Sun Bowl.

Minnesota (10-3) reached 10 wins for the first time since 1905, and overcame a spectacular effort by Oregon wide receiver Samie Parker, who caught a career-high 16 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns in his final appearance for the Ducks.

Jared Siegel kicked a 47-yard field goal with 4:16 remaining to give Oregon (8-5) a 28-27 lead, but Asad Abdul-Khaliq guided Minnesota on its game-winning drive. Lloyd's kick was deflected before clearing the goal post.

Minnesota avenged a 1999 Sun Bowl loss to Oregon in which the Ducks rallied for a 24-20 victory.
