COL BKB: Vanderbilt 85, Lehigh 59

NASHVILLE, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Matt Freije scored 15 points Tuesday as No. 24 Vanderbilt remained unbeaten with an 85-59 thrashing of Lehigh.

Vanderbilt (10-0) has taken advantage of a friendly schedule that has kept it within city limits. The only road game for the Commodores was a season-opening triumph at Belmont on Nov. 21.

Behind nine points from Scott Hundley, Vanderbilt built a 39-27 halftime lead, then scored the first nine points of the second half to settle the outcome.

Lehigh (6-5) finished a three-game road trip with its second straight loss. Jose Olivero scored 18 points for the Mountain Hawks, who also fell at a ranked opponent with a 75-55 loss at Connecticut on Dec. 1.
