NBA: Phoenix 100, Philadelphia 92

PHOENIX, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter Sunday to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 100-92 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Johnson reached double digits for the 11th straight game.

He logged 11 minutes in the fourth quarter and hit a 3-pointer that gave the Suns a 78-68 advantage with 8 1/2 minutes to play. After Philadelphia used an 11-4 burst to get within three points, Johnson scored eight points in the final three minutes.

Shawn Marion collected 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Suns, who improved to 3-7 under new Coach Mike D'Antoni.

Philadelphia fell to 2-5 since superstar Allen Iverson went down with a swollen right knee. The 76ers lost guard Aaron McKie to a hamstring injury in the third quarter.
