CINCINNATI, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- James White scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half Saturday as No. 12 Cincinnati remained unbeaten with an 83-63 win over Miami Ohio.
Cincinnati (8-0) matched its best start since the 1999-2000 season by beating its oldest rival. The Bearcats and RedHawks have met 140 times.
This was considered a "home game" for Miami, although it was played downtown, just a short bus ride from Cincinnati's campus.
White, who made his debut a week ago, turned in his best effort by coming off the bench. Field Williams also scored 14 points as Cincinnati placed four players in double figures.
Miami (4-5) has not beaten Cincinnati since the 1990-91 season.
