NHL: Minnesota 5, Columbus 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Wes Walz scored twice and Andrei Zyuzin added a goal and two assists Saturday as Minnesota's unbeaten streak went to five games with a 5-2 win over Columbus.

Walz took advantage of a turnover in the neutral zone and scored 4 1/2 into the game on a 2-on-1 breakaway. Matt Johnson doubled the advantage 1:25 later with a quick shot through the legs of goaltender Marc Denis.

Geoff Sanderson pulled one back for the Blue Jackets less than two minutes later with his first goal in 10 games.

Zyuzin made up for it by scoring into midway through the second period. His shot from inside the blue line beat Denis between the legs.

Zyuzin also assisted on Walz's second goal with less than seven minutes to go in the second.

Sergei Zholtok added another goal for Minnesota, answering Trevor Letowski to extend his point-scoring streak to five games.
