
MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Randy Moss caught two touchdown passes Saturday as Minnesota moved closer to securing a playoff berth with a 45-20 victory over Kansas City.
Moss had touchdown receptions of 30 and 21 yards in the first half, helping the Vikings build a 24-0 lead. He finished with seven catches for 111 yards, his eighth 100-yard game this season.
Onterrio Smith powered the ground game by carrying 21 times for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
Daunte Culpepper threw three touchdown passes for Minnesota (9-6), which won for just the third time in its last nine games. The Vikings can capture the NFC North Division with a win next week at Arizona, or if Green Bay loses one of its last two games.
Priest Holmes tried to help the Chiefs (12-3)rally from a 31-0 deficit, rushing for three touchdowns in a 10:11 span of the second half.
