RENO, Nev., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Keith Langford had 19 points Saturday as Kansas posted a 72-52 victory over Santa Barbara in the Wolf Pack Holiday Classic.

Kansas (6-1) shot 24 percent in the first half and took a 24-18 lead at the break. The Jayhawks, adjusting to coach Bill Self's defensive philosophy, roared out of the locker room with an offensive burst.

Aaron Miles scored nine points in a 19-4 tear that started the half and made it 43-22 with 13 1/2 minutes left. Langford added five points in the run.

The Jayhawks scheduled the trip west for freshman David Padgett, a Reno native who chose Kansas over North Carolina in large part to play for new Tar Heels Coach Roy Williams. Padgett, instead playing for Bill Self, had only one basket.
