NBA: Indiana 95, Cleveland 85

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Jermaine O'Neal scored 24 points to lead five players in double figures Monday night, carrying Indiana to a 95-85 victory over Cleveland.

Cleveland has lost 34 consecutive road games since winning in Seattle on Jan. 12. That matches the second-longest skid in league history, which was set by the New Jersey Nets from Dec. 23, 1989 to Nov. 21, 1990.

The Cavaliers had only nine players available after sending Ricky Davis, Chris Mihm and Michael Stewart to the Boston Celtics in a six-player trade prior to the game.

Despite the lack of firepower, Cleveland led briefly in the third quarter and was within 74-72 with just over nine minutes left. Indiana responded with seven straight points and was not seriously threatened thereafter.
