NBA: Indiana 103, Atlanta 92

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Jermaine O'Neal scored 20 points and Fred Jones added a career-high 18 off the bench Friday night to propel Indiana past Atlanta, 103-92.

Wearing garish throwback uniforms, the Hawks never led and lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Throwback uniforms have become popular and have been marketed effectively by the NBA, which has teams wear their old togs several times during the season. But this one may have been a mistake.

The Hawks wore uniforms from the early 1970s, when "Pistol" Pete Maravich was their star player. The main color was a bright lime green with a blue stripe running down from the left shoulder, across the torso and onto the shorts. On the back, the names were below the numbers.

The Hakws fell into a 10-0 hole, trailed by 21 points late in the second quarter and by at least eight throughout the second half.
