
ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- All four Heisman Trophy finalists picked up a trophy Thursday night at the annual College Football Awards show.
Oklahoma quarterback Jason White won the Davey O'Brien Award as the nation's best quarterback, heading a list of Heisman contenders honored.
White has overcome a series of knee injuries over the past two seasons to lead the Sooners to a 12-1 record and a berth in the Sugar Bowl against Louisiana State.
Pittsburgh's Larry Fitzgerald won the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award and also captured the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's best wide receiver.
Mississippi quarterback Eli Manning won the Maxwell Award as college football's most outstanding player and is expected to receive strong support from southern voters in the Heisman voting.
The Doak Walker Award as the outstanding junior or senior running back went to Chris Perry of Michigan, the last of the four Heisman finalists.
