NHL: Atlanta 4, Los Angeles 3 (OT)

ATLANTA, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Marc Savard scored his second goal of the game with 83 seconds left in overtime Wednesday to give Atlanta a 4-3 victory over Los Angeles.

Savard's 13th goal of the season came off a rebound of Ilya Kovalchuk's shot and was his sixth in the last five games.

Atlanta appeared set for its first-ever regulation win over Los Angeles, but defenseman Joe Corvo beat goaltender Byron Dafoe with a shot from the blue line with five seconds left in the third period. It was Corvo's first NHL goal.

Atlanta erased a 2-0 deficit with three unanswered goals, grabbing the lead with 74 seconds remaining in regulation on Shawn McEachern's sixth of the season.

Savard got the Thrashers on the board in the first period and Vyacheslav Kozlov tied it with four minutes to go in the third. Kozlov extended his points streak to six games.
