NHL: Anaheim 4, Dallas 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Vaclav Prospal and Joffrey Lupul scored power-play goals in a 22-second span of the second period Sunday night, carrying Anaheim past Dallas, 4-0.

Martin Gerber produced the shutout with 32 saves as the Stars lost their fourth straight.

Sergei Fedorov added a shorthanded tally in the third period for Anaheim, which snapped its own three-game slide.

Dallas tallied just twice in its previous three games but got no relief in its first trip to Anaheim since losing to the Ducks in six games in last season's Western Conference semifinals.

Gerber recorded his second shutout of the season, turning aside 14 shots in the first period and nine of the final two. His best stop came midway through the third, when he lunged across the goalmouth and stuck out his right arm to deny Pierre Turgeon on a wraparound.
