Dolphins place corner Fletcher on IR

MIAMI, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- The Miami Dolphins on Monday placed backup cornerback Jamar Fletcher on injured reserve, officially ending his season.

Fletcher suffered a broken arm during Thursday's 40-21 victory at Dallas. Yhe 2001 first-round pick out of Wisconsin has two interceptions in 42 career games.

The Dolphins replaced Fletcher on the roster by signing cornerback Jimmy Wyrick to a one-year contract. Wyrick played in seven games with Detroit this season before being waived on Nov. 15.
