COL BKB: Notre Dame 78, Mt. St. Mary's 64

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Chris Thomas scored 22 points and Chris Quinn added 15 Saturday afternoon as 20th-ranked Notre Dame beat Mount St. Mary's, 78-64.

Torin Francis contributed 13 points and Torrian Jones came off the bench to score 12 for the Fighting Irish (2-0), who improved to 18-2 in their last 20 games at the Joyce Center.

Notre Dame outscored Mount St. Mary's 40-27 in the first half and cruised to its 16th win in 17 November games played under Coach Mike Brey.

Landy Thompson had 17 points for the Mountaineers (0-5), who remained winless under first-year Coach Milan Brown. They have not beaten a ranked team since Georgia Tech on Dec. 18, 1995.
