COL FB: Minnesota 37, Wisconsin 34

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Rhys Lloyd kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired Saturday afternoon to give 18th-ranked Minnesota a 37-34 win over Wisconsin.

Marion Barber III and freshman Laurence Maroney each ran for over 100 yards for the third straight game for Minnesota (9-2, 5-2 Big Ten), which blew an 18-point lead before posting its third straight win.

The Golden Gophers have won nine games for the first time since 1905.

Jim Sorgi rallied Wisconsin from a 24-6 deficit, completing 23-of-34 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns. He had one interception.

Wisconsin (6-4, 3-3) tied the score for a second time, 34-34, when Sorgi threw a 26-yard scoring pass to Owen Daniels with 7:15 left in the fourth quarter.

The Badgers have lost three straight since ending Ohio State's 19-game winning streak.
