Tommie Harris' wife dies

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- CART driver Darren Manning will take over the IRL IndyCar ride that would have gone to the late Tony Renna.
Renna was killed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during a tire test on Oct. 22 when his G Force/Toyota became airborne and crashed into the fence between turns 3 and 4.
Manning, 28, was named to the team by Target/Chip Ganassi Racing on Wednesday. He will drive the No. 10 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Panoz G Force/Toyota/Firestone next season.
A native of England, Manning recorded numerous victories in Formula Vauxhall and F3 and won the 1999 All Japan F3 Championship on the strength of six victories.
