Zetterberg out 4-6 weeks with broken leg

DETROIT, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Detroit Red Wings left wing Henrik Zetterberg will be sidelined four to six weeks with a broken right leg, the team announced Tuesday.

Zetterberg, the Calder Trophy runner-up last season, suffered a non-displaced fracture of his right fibula during Monday night's 5-1 loss at Vancouver. The 23-year-old Swede has two goals and five assists in 12 games and leads the NHL in shorthanded scoring with a goal and two assists.

It is the latest injury for the Red Wings, who are winless in their last five games and are off to a 5-6-1 start.

Norris Trophy finalist Derian Hatcher tore his right ACL on Oct. 16 in just his third game in a Detroit uniform and could miss up to six months. The Red Wings also have been forced to use goaltender Manny Legace while Dominik Hasek and Curtis Joseph recover from groin injuries.
