Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich was suspended one game by the NBA Tuesday for making contact with an official in Monday's loss to Memphis.
Popovich was ejected from Monday's 88-80 setback early in the second quarter after picking up a pair of technical fouls.
Reigning NBA Coach of the Year, Popovich will miss Tuesday night's game against the Miami Heat. Last season, he guided the Spurs to a 60-22 record and their second NBA title in franchise history.
In addition to missing Popovich against the Heat, the Spurs also may be without reigning two-time Most Valuable Player Tim Duncan, who suffered a sprained right ankle Monday.
