Bulls Pippen out one week with ailing knee

CHICAGO, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Chicago Bulls forward Scottie Pippen will miss at least one week after receiving a cortisone shot in his left knee Monday.

Pippen was scoreless in just 13 minutes in Saturday's 98-68 loss at Milwaukee, missing all six of his shots. He is averaging 6.3 points and shooting just under 30 percent through three games.

The 38-year-old forward has seen his skills diminish in recent years and averaged 10.8 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds last season with Portland. Pippen signed with Chicago during the offseason, returning to the city where he won six championships in the 1990s.

Honored as one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players, Pippen is a seven-time All-Defensive Team member and seven-time All-Star.
