COL FB: Texas 56, Baylor 0

WACO, Texas, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Quarterback Vince Young rushed for 101 yards and a pair of first-half touchdowns Saturday as No. 18 Texas got their first shutout of the season, 56-0 over Baylor.

Texas (6-2) won its sixth straight against Baylor, posting its second straight shutout in the series and third in the last five years. It was the Bears' worst loss by shutout at home since a 62-0 loss to the Longhorns in 1999.

Texas scored its first four touchdowns on the ground, taking the lead on Brett Robin's one-yard TD run early in the first quarter. Young made it 14-0 with a one-yard plunge later in the period.

After a one-yard TD plunge by Selvin Young, the Longhorns' other quarterback got involved as Chance Mock hit Roy Williams for a 41-yard touchdown pass to make it 35-0 at halftime
