NBA: New Orleans 102, Philadelphia 85

NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Baron Davis had 24 points and eight assists and P.J. Brown scored 20 Monday as New Orleans rolled to a 102-85 preseason victory over Philadelphia.

Davis and Brown combined to make 18-of-27 shots for the Hornets.

David Wesley scored 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting, Jamaal Magloire collected 12 points and nine rebounds, and first-round draft pick David West had 10 points and five rebounds in 16 minutes for New Orleans.

The Hornets played without forwards Jamal Mashburn and Robert Traylor and guard Courtney Alexander. Mashburn has a sprained right knee, Traylor is out with a sprained right ankle and Alexander is sidelined with a torn Achilles tendon.

Allen Iverson scored 20 points off the bench and Marc Jackson collected 16 and 12 rebounds for the 76ers.

Philadelphia's Kenny Thomas sat out with a right Achilles strain, Monty Williams remained sidelined with left knee pain.
