MIAMI, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Tom Brady hit Troy Brown with an 82-yard touchdown with 5:45 left in overtime Sunday to give New England a 19-13 win at Miami.
It was a rare September-October win in South Florida for the Patriots, who were 0-13 in Miami in September or October since 1966.
The win also gave the Patriots (5-2) sole possession of first place in the AFC East ahead of Miami (4-2). The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins' Olindo Mare had a potential go-ahead field goal attempt blocked by Richard Seymour late in regulation and pushed a 35-yard attempt wide right in the overtime.
Brady improved his career record to 6-0 in overtime, including the postseason. He pumped and lofted a deep pass to Brown, who split safeties Brock Marion and Sammy Knight, caught the ball at the Miami 15, and raced into the end zone.
