HEMPSTEAD, N.Y., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- New York Jets starting free safety Jon McGraw is expected to miss two to four weeks due to a shoulder injury, Coach Herman Edwards announced Tuesday.

McGraw was injured during Sunday's 30-3 win over the Buffalo Bills.

A 2002 second-round pick, McGraw was handed the starting job in training camp after the Jets waived Damien Robinson. He has 21 tackles this season, 10 of them coming in a Sept. 21 loss at New England.

The Jets likely will use rookie Derek Pagel, a fifth-round pick, or Tyrone Carter at free safety on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
