NFL: Kansas City 40, Green Bay 34 (OT)

GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Trent Green hit Eddie Kennison with a 51-yard touchdown pass 6:18 into overtime Sunday afternoon to lift Kansas City to a 40-34 overtime win over Green Bay.

The Chiefs (6-0) improved the best start in the 43-year history of the franchise, and remained one of three unbeaten teams in the NFL along with Carolina (5-0) and Minnesota (5-0).

The Packers (3-3) have not given up a kick or punt return for a touchdown this season, and almost fully negated the Chiefs' electrifying Dante Hall.

Early in the fourth quarter, he returned a punt 32 yards to the Green Bay 42 to start a comeback from a 31-14 deficit. Priest Holmes scored on a one-yard run.

Then safety Jerome Woods intercepted a pass by Brett Favre and returned it 79 yards for a score to pull the Chiefs within 31-28 with 8:46 left.

A 67-yard pass from Green to tight end Tony Gonzalez set up a game-tying 34-yard field goal by Andersen with 5:41 remaining.
