Bucs bit by injuries during stunning loss

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are feeling the after effects of Monday's stunning 38-35 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Buccaneers Coach Jon Gruden announced a lengthy list of injuries on Tuesday with three starters -- fullback Mike Alstott, cornerback Brian Kelly and receiver Keyshawn Johnson --included.

A six-time Pro Bowler, Alstott has been bothered by a neck injury for the last few weeks. He had two catches for 25 yards and rushed three times for one yard in Monday's game. Gruden ruled Alstott out of this weekend's game at Washington.

Kelly suffered a left pectoral strain in Monday's loss and is listed as doubtful for this weekend. His absence was especially damaging when the Bucs squandered a 21-point lead with less than four minutes left.

Johnson suffered a left thigh bruise in the second half. He has 21 catches for 272 yards this season.
