AMES, Iowa, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Jason White threw five touchdown passes Saturday to lead top-ranked Oklahoma to a 53-7 Big 12 Conference thrashing of Iowa State.
White is off to the best five-game start by any quarterback in school history. He has thrown 16 touchdowns against just three interceptions and is completing better than 65 percent of his passes.
The senior threw touchdown passes of 15 yards to Jejuan Rankins, 39 yards to Mark Bradley and 24 yards to Mark Clayton in the second quarter, giving Oklahoma (5-0) a 22-0 halftime lead.
White added a 45-yard TD pass to Will Peoples in the third quarter and a 12-yarder to Clayton in the final period, making it 39-0 before taking a seat.
The Sooners eclipsed 50 points for the third straight game, their longest such streak since their 1956 championship season.
Iowa State's only score came on an interception return.
