Voshon Lenard signs with Nuggets

DENVER, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Guard Voshon Lenard began his second stint with the Denver Nuggets on Friday when he signed a multi-year contract.

Terms were not disclosed. The 6-4 Lenard averaged 11.8 points in 151 games with the Nuggets from 2000-02, shooting nearly 38 percent from three-point range.

"As our fans can attest, Voshon is one of the best three-point shooters in the league," Nuggets General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe said. "He has a great work ethic and we're thrilled to be able to bring him back to Denver."

Last season, Lenard, 30, played with the injury-ravaged Toronto Raptors and averaged a career-high 14.3 points in 63 games.

In 463 games over eight seasons with Denver, Toronto and Miami, Lenard has averaged 11.9 points while making 39 percent of his three-pointers.
