BALTIMORE, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Tony Batista snapped a fifth-inning tie with an RBI groundout Saturday night as Baltimore eased by Seattle, 3-1.

Bautista added a solo home run in the eighth as the Orioles snapped a 14-game losing streak against veteran lefthander Jamie Moyer.

The Orioles got positive feelings after inducting legendary former third baseman Cal Ripken Jr. into the team's Hall of Fame before the contest.

Rookie southpaw Eric DuBose (2-4) made his second straight solid start for Baltimore, allowing one run and six hits in eight innings. He walked none and struck out six.

Jorge Julio worked around a hit in the ninth to notch his 31st save.

Seattle fell to 2-3 on a six-game road trip and remained two games behind first-place Oakland in the American League Western Division. The Mariners trail Boston by 1 1/2 games in the wild card hunt.
