MUNICH, Germany, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Robert Karlsson of Sweden shot a 1-under-par 71 Saturday and holds a two-stroke lead after three rounds of the BMW International Open.

Karlsson's 54-hole total of 16-under 200 left him two shots ahead of England's Brian Davis and Gary Evans, Raphael Jacquelin of France and Marcel Siem of Germany.

Lee Westwood of England, the 2000 Order of Merit winner, and countryman John Bickerton are three strokes off the pace.

The 1997 champion who is seeking his sixth career European title, Karlsson helped himself with a birdie at the final hole.

Karlsson picked up his fourth eagle of the week at No. 11 but bogeyed the 16th hole, where his tee shot found the water. He regained a two-stroke advantage at No. 18. Davis charged into contention, moving up from a tie for 26th after firing a 65.
