NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Sage Rosenfels passed for two touchdowns Thursday night as the Miami Dolphins disposed of the New Orleans Saints, 24-10.
Rosenfels, who will start the season as the backup to Jay Fiedler with Brian Griese injured, completed 10 of 19 passes for 103 yards. He tossed a pair of one-yard touchdown passes in a 17-point second quarter that gave the Dolphins a 24-7.
Fiedler found Derrius Thompson for a 14-yard scoring pass in the opening quarter for the Dolphins (2-2), who host Houston in the regular-season opener.
Ki-Jiana Carter carried 25 times for 94 yards for New Orleans (1-3), which opens its season at Seattle.
Backup Todd Bouman went seven of 16 for 90 yards, including a six-yard touchdown pass to Michael Lewis in the second quarter.
