PITTSBURGH, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Scott Podsednik slammed a three-run homer in the ninth Saturday to lift Milwaukee to a 6-4 win over Pittsburgh.

Pinch hitter Eric Young reached on a throwing error by third baseman Jose Hernandez to open the ninth and Brooks Kieschnick, another pinch hitter, walked with one out.

Joe Beimel relieved Mike Lincoln (0-1) and promptly threw an 0-1 pitch that Podsednik drove over the right-center field fence for his fourth homer of the season.

Luis Vizcaino (3-3) retired the side in order in the eighth for the win.

The Pirates took a 4-3 lead in the seventh when Reggie Sanders connected off Valerio de los Santos for his 26th homer.
