The United States will face Cuba Saturday night with a chance to secure its first gold medal since 1987.

The Americans defeated Brazil in the preliminary round, 77-64, but found a much different team Friday.

With Team USA trailing, 68-64, two minutes into overtime, Powell scored down low, then hit a three-pointer from the right wing to put her team in front for good.

Brazil could not get off a shot on its ensuing possession and Jamie Carey and Powell made six free throws in the final 66 seconds to seal the Americans' fourth straight win. The United States made all 18 of its free-throw attempts.
