Astros 2B Kent suspended two games

NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Houston second baseman Jeff Kent was suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount Tuesday for his actions in a July 26 game against the Chicago Cubs.

Kent was ejected in the sixth inning by plate umpire Matt Hollowell after arguing a call on a checked swing. While disputing his ejection, Kent shoved Astros manager Jimy Williams, who also was tossed, into Hollowell.
