Tommie Harris' wife dies

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Swin Cash scored 15 points as the Detroit Shock beat the Indiana Fever, 72-58, Saturday to record a franchise-high 18th victory in a season.
Cash was one of three Detroit players to score in double figures.
Indiana pulled within 55-52 with 5:33 remaining before Detroit went on a 17-4 run. Elaine Powell scored seven of her 13 points during that stretch, giving the Shock a 72-56 advantage with 66 seconds to play.
Deanna Nolan also scored 13 points for Detroit, which won its fifth straight home game.
Tamika Catchings scored 20 points for the Fever. Natalie Williams added 12 points and Kristen Rasmussen contributed with 11.
