Moya set to defend Croatia Open title

UMAG, Croatia, July 26 (UPI) -- Carlos Moya of Spain gained revenge over countryman Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 6-4, Saturday to move one win away from his third Croatia Open crown.

Moya and 17-year-old sensation Nadal hail from the city of Mallorca and have practiced together at times. But on Saturday it was all business. He also avenged a loss to Nadal in the second round of the Hamburg Masters in May.

Moya, who won at Umag the last two years, is looking to add to titles won at Barcelona and Buenos Aires this year.

In Sunday's final, Moya will meet Filippo Volandri of Italy, who bounced Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 to reach his first ATP final.
