CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 24 (UPI) -- Allison Feaster scored 18 points and Andrea Stinson added 14 Thursday afternoon as Charlotte dumped Detroit, 67-61.

The Sting swept the four-game season series between the two teams.

Feaster connected on 7-of-15 shots from the field as the Sting halted a three-game losing streak and won for the first time since July 10, when they recorded a 65-58 victory at Detroit.

Feaster scored 10 points in the first half, when Charlotte built a 35-22 lead it never relinquished.

Ruth Riley scored 16 points and Elaine Powell added 14 for Detroit, which shot just 35 percent (19-of-54) and had a four-game winning streak halted.

Swin Cash and Deanna Nolan, Detroit's starting backcourt, were just 7-of-31 from the floor. Each also picked up four fouls.

The Sting improved the second-best home record in the Eastern Conference to 9-3 and moved within three games of the Shock, who are in first place in the East.
