Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHICAGO, July 21 (UPI) -- Arenafootball2 officials Monday declared the game between Bakersfield and Wichita terminated, two days after it was postponed.
The postponement followed the death of Bakersvillez fullback-linebacker Julian Yearwood.
AFL2 executive director Jay Marcus made the decision after consulting officials from both teams and Arena Football League commissioner David Baker.
The game at the Kansas Coliseum was tied, 7-7, with 1:57 left in the first quarter when Yearwood collapsed on the bench. Despite efforts to revive him, the 33-year-old was pronounced dead at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital.
An autopsy performed Sunday by the Sedgwick County coroner failed to determine a cause of death.
