It was the fourth-quickest match on the ATP Tour this year as Coria lost just seven points in the first set and eight in the second.

Coria improved to 26-5 on clay this year and has won two of three career matches against Youzhny. He also beat the fellow 21-year-old earlier this season at the Tennis Masters Hamburg, an event he went on to win.

Spaniard Feliciano Lopez continued his surprising run, reaching the semifinals with a 6-2, 6-4 upset of No. 3 seed Rainer Schuettler of Germany.
