Titans ink two draft picks

NASHVILLE, July 17 (UPI) -- The Tennessee Titans have come to terms with defensive tackle Rien Long, a fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft.

Long, a 6-6, 302-pounder, was named winner of the Outland Trophy as the nation's top lineman while at Washington State last season. Long also was named to the Pac-10 First Team after recording 52 tackles, 13 sacks, and 21 ½ stops for losses.

For his career, he had 100 tackles, 17 sacks, 36 ½ tackles for losses, and one fumble recovery.

The Titans also signed defensive back Donnie Nickey, who was selected in the fifth round. Nickey was a four-year starter at Ohio State.

"We're obviously happy to have contracts with half of our draft picks," said General Manager Floyd Reese. "We'll now continue to work on the remaining three players and hope to have everyone in by the start of training camp."

The Titans begin training camp on July 25.
