Yelle was the only member of the Flames to appear in all 82 games last season, recording 10 goals and 15 assists.

The Flames acquired Yelle before the 2002-03 season in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. Chris Drury, who has since been shipped to Buffalo, came with Yelle in exchange for Dean McAmmond, Derek Morris and Jeff Shantz.
