The 13-time winner during a 25-year PGA Tour career claimed his second title of the season and seventh in three years on the Champions Tour two weeks ago. It was his first major in seven tries on the elder circuit.

He has a tour-best $1.37 million in earnings this season, and is at the top of the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He captured the Legends of Golf in April.

Lietzke plans to take a vacation after this tournament and will not play in the Senior British Open, the Tour's fourth major which begins on July 24.

John Jacobs won the Senior PGA Championship, and is second in the Schwab points standings.
