In a five-run fourth inning for the Expos, Hernandez was hit with a pitch from Phillies starter Brandon Duckworth. Both players exchanged words, causing the benches to empty.

Philadelphia Manager Larry Bowa was ejected during the incident.

Hernandez had no problems controlling his emotions after the fourth as he scattered three hits over the final five innings en route to his 25th career complete game.

Cabrera, who went 3-for-4, hit a solo homer in the sixth and delivered an RBI double in the eighth.

Brian Schneider added a two-run double in the fourth for the Expos.
