Los Angeles 84, Seattle 75

LOS ANGELES, July 6 (UPI) -- Lisa Leslie and Tamecka Dixon helped build a big lead for the Los Angeles Sparks' in the first half, that carried through for an 84-75 victory over Seattle.

They combined for 24 points in the first half as the Sparks built an enduring lead over the Storm.

Los Angeles and Seattle have staged two of the most entertaining games in the WNBA this season, splitting the meetings. The Sparks pulled out an overtime victory at Seattle on May 30 and the Storm answered with a 69-67 victory here on June 19.

Dixon's early baskets made it 19-10 nearly six minutes into the game and Leslie had a pair of baskets in a 12-4 spurt that made it 39-23 with 4:25 left before halftime.

The Sparks placed five starters in double figures and led by as many as 23 in the second half. For Seattle it was just the second loss in six games.
