Los Angeles 2, New England 2 (OT)

CARSON, Calif., July 4 (UPI) -- New England recorded a 2-2 draw with Los Angeles Friday night as the Revolution's Taylor Twellman scored his eighth goal of the season.

Twellman's goal came on a header to the far post in the 52nd minute. Midfielder Steve Ralston found some space off of his defender, setting up a perfect ball to Twellman at the far post.

Twellman ran under the cross, sending a low header past a diving Hartman to knot the score at 1-1.

The Revolution took the lead with a give-and-go play by Jay Heaps and Twellman, just two minutes after the equalizer. In the 54th minute of play, Heaps sent the ball in to Twellman at the top of the penalty arc, who laid off a backheel into the path of Heaps.
