DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 1 (UPI) -- Veteran small forward Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors, who missed much of last season with knee woes, is clear about not being a fan of Chris Bosh.

Carter told the Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal that he thinks the rail-thin Bosh, who played just one season in college, should be traded because he is not the kind of player the Raptors need.

"I would prefer to trade him and get a veteran," Carter told the paper. "We need to win right now, not in a couple of years. We need experience."

Bosh is 6-11, but weighs only 210 pounds, which may be generous, and is just 19 years old. He was the Raptors' No. 1 pick and fourth overall pick in the NBA Draft on June 26.

In pre-draft play, Bosh had scouts raving. He led the Yellow Jackets in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots.

The Raptors were dreadful last season and fired Lenny Wilkens as coach in April.
