Detroit 82, Connecticut 73 (OT)

UNCASVILLE, Conn., June 22 (UPI) -- Swin Cash scored six of her 22 points in overtime Sunday as Detroit matched a franchise record with its sixth straight win, 82-73 over Connecticut.

Cash, who starred on national championship teams for the University of Connecticut in 2000 and 2002, connected on 9-of-18 shots, helping the Shock to six straight wins for the first time since June 21-July 1, 1998.

Ruth Riley and Elaine Powell each poured in 16 points for Detroit, which had all of its starters score in double figures. Deanna Nolan added 15 points and Cheryl Ford had 12 and a career-high 21 rebounds for the Shock.

Taj McWilliams-Franklin scored a WNBA career-high 28 points for Connecticut, which had a three-game home winning streak halted.
