The golfers went out in threesomes from the first and 10th holes in hopes of beating the weather. But after a second delay that began shortly after 1 p.m. EDT, tournament officials decided to halt play for the day at 3 p.m.
This is the fourth straight year the event has been suspended by weather.
Play will resume Sunday at 9 a.m., with officials hoping to begin the final round 2 1/2 hours later. Rain is expected to stop early Sunday, with gradual clearing the rest of the day.
